When should a child's behaviour be discussed with a doctor?
Discuss behaviour with a pediatrician when it is intense or frequent beyond what's typical for age, persists for months, harms the child or others, disrupts school, friendships or family life, or comes with regression in speech or skills. Tantrums in toddlers are developmentally normal; tantrums that dominate daily life at age 5–6, or aggression that injures, warrant assessment.

Understanding
Understanding Why Behaviour Happens
Development itself — toddler tantrums are the collision of big feelings with small vocabulary
Communication gaps — behaviour spikes when a child can't say what they need
Sleep debt — an under-slept child looks remarkably like a 'behaviour problem'
Screen habits — dysregulation after prolonged, fast-paced content is real and reversible
Environment and routine changes — new sibling, new school, family stress
Underlying differences — attention difficulties or developmental conditions occasionally sit beneath persistent patterns, and deserve proper assessment rather than labels
Our approach
How We Care for Your Child at Siraa Health
Hear the whole story
An unhurried consultation covering the behaviour, its triggers, sleep, screens, school and family context — with zero judgment of your parenting.
Screen the foundations
Hearing, sleep, development and language are checked — fixing a foundation often fixes the behaviour.
Practical strategies, coached
Specific, evidence-based techniques for your exact situation — connection before correction, consistent responses, catching the good — practised, not just prescribed.
Refer honestly when needed
If a pattern suggests attention, learning or developmental differences, we say so clearly and coordinate the right assessment early — because early always beats later.

What families say
“Our son was not saying a single word at 2.5. Within four months at Siraa he was putting two and three words together. The parent coaching made the biggest difference.”
Priya M.
DLF Phase 4
“We were told to wait and see. We did not, and I am so glad. The therapist identified exactly what was holding him back. Six months later he is chatting non-stop.”

“What sets Siraa apart is that they treat you as a partner, not just a parent dropping off a child. Every session I left feeling more capable and less worried.”

Questions
What parents usually ask us
Are my 2-year-old's daily tantrums normal?+
Very likely yes. Tantrums peak between 18 months and 3 years, several per day can be normal, and they reflect development — not bad parenting. They warrant assessment if they routinely last beyond 15–20 minutes, involve self-injury, persist strongly past age 4–5, or come with speech delay.
How much screen time is okay for my child?+
Broad guidance: avoid screens under 18 months (except video calls), under an hour of high-quality co-viewed content for ages 2–5, and consistent, agreed limits for older children — with no screens at meals or before bed. How screens are used matters as much as how long.
Could my child's behaviour be ADHD?+
Activity and short attention are normal in young children; ADHD is considered when inattention, impulsivity and hyperactivity are persistent, present across settings (home AND school), and clearly impair learning or friendships — usually assessed meaningfully from around age 5–6. A structured evaluation, not a checklist online, answers it.
Will discussing behaviour put a label on my child?+
No. Most behaviour consultations end with strategies and follow-up, not diagnoses. Where a formal assessment is genuinely warranted, understanding a child accurately opens doors — to the right support at school and home — rather than closing them.
