Can I get the school medical form done in one visit?+
Yes. Bring the school's form and your child's vaccination record; the examination, any needed screening and the completed, signed form are done in the same appointment. Catch-up vaccines, if any, can usually be given the same day.
My child needs a sports clearance certificate. What's checked?+
Beyond the general examination: heart sounds, blood pressure, and screening questions about chest pain, unusual breathlessness, palpitations or fainting during exertion, plus family cardiac history. Any flag gets evaluated before clearance — that's the certificate meaning something.
Which vaccines are due in the school years?+
Typically: DTP/Tdap boosters at 4–6 and 10–12 years, typhoid boosters per schedule, annual influenza, and HPV at 9–14 years for both girls and boys. We verify the record and complete gaps at the school checkup.
How many illnesses per school year is normal?+
